Hey babes! You know me, always trying natural beauty treatments. It’s tremendous fun! And I’ve found that natural treatments work far better than any drugstore product. As silly as it may seem ( and look ) this coffee coconut milk face mask is a treasure. Most people drink coffee or enjoy it in some other form, including myself. I love mocha granola bars – I could get fat off of them [ In case you missed it, here’s the proof: No-Bake Mocha Granola Bars ]. Coffee can be used for more than a delicious snack or drink. There are many varying uses and this simple coffee face mask is my favorite!

What You Need

3 tsp coffee grounds

3 tsp chilled coconut milk [ dairy milk works too! ]

  1. Combine the coffee grounds and coconut milk and mix well – until loose paste forms. If it’s a little hard to work with just add a bit more milk.
  2. Gently massage the coffee/coconut milk paste onto face and let dry. This can be quite messy so make sure you apply over a sink. Leave mask on for 15-20 minutes ( or longer if you prefer ).
  3. Rinse off with cold water, massaging gently to exfoliate any dead skin from the face.

Your skin will be luminescent and baby soft! As an added bonus, the aroma from this mask is incredibly relaxing.

Note: You might feel a slight tingling on your face from the this mask, but it should not cause any irritation or discomfort whatsoever. I have never had a bad reaction from this mask. Everyone’s skin is different and reacts differently to varying natural ingredients. If you experience any discomfort, remove mask.

The Benefits Of Coffee & Coconut Milk

Coffee is packed with antioxidants that help protect your skin and prevent premature signs of aging. Huzzah! These same antioxidants are quite calming to the skin, making coffee ideal for those prone to having acne. Coffee, of course, has stimulating properties. When applied to the face it improves blood flow, leaving your skin brighter and more luminous.

Coconut milk is rich in copper which help reduce the appearance age spots, sagging skin, and prevents wrinkles. Coconut milk also contains high levels of vitamin C that aids in maintaining skin’s elasticity and flexibility. The antioxidant properties of vitamin C [ ascorbic acid ] play a significant role in collagen synthesis -making it a vital molecule for healthy skin. Additionally, coconut milk’s soothing properties make it a fantastic moisturizer. It can replace moisture in even the most dehydrated skin.

So there you have it! This face mask is so simple, but tremendously helpful to your skin. When I first tried it I noticed a difference in my skin after the first application. It reduced redness, brightened, and smoothed my skin to that baby soft texture we girls long for.

    • You can definitely use soy or almond milk. The ratio might be slightly off – the high fat content in the coconut milk acts as a thickener. So, play around with the ratio of coffee grounds to milk of choice. Otherwise it will work just the same!

    I must say the aroma is definitely relaxing.

  6. I tried this straight away and loved it. It toughened up on my skin and smelt divine. I used a make up brush to apply it as it was tricky to use my fingers. I massaged it in once it was on. After 20 minutes my skin felt so soft but stronger! I will be doing this again for sure.
